A Primary School recently changed over to become a Primary Academy and was in search of some Health & Safety advice. They contacted Safewell who went to visit them at their premises to discuss their needs and how we could help them.
The Academy were faced with taking on additional responsibilities in Health & Safety and required advice and support for their Leadership Team. Safewell’s Health and Safety adviser was happy to discuss our retained health and safety support service and to provide ongoing support throughout the change over process.
Safewell Solution
Safewell visited the Academy and identified that a revision of all documentation was required including health & safety risk assessments, fire risk assessments, health & safety policy and staff handbook. Additional support has been provided for the Senior Leadership Team through regular meetings that include advice around accident investigations, hall capacity, contractor management and COSHH.
As a result of the retained service the Senior Leadership Teams confidence in health & safety compliance has been increased and a process of continuous improvement has been set up by Safewell.
