Compliance

On the 1st October 2006 the government introduced The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 (RRFSO). This simplified and consolidated the existing fire safety legislation. Fire certificates were replaced by fire risk assessments, which are the responsibility of employer and not the Fire Authority.

When is a Fire Risk Assessment Required?

Fire risk assessments are required for all non-domestic premises, including the common parts of blocks of flats and houses in multiple occupations (HMO’s).
