Display Screen / Workstation Assessment
What is a display screen equipment (DSE) assessment?
A DSE assessment checks how someone’s desk, chair, screen and working habits are set up, then recommends changes to reduce the risk of discomfort or harm. Under the Health and and Safety (Display Screen Equipment) Regulations 1992, UK employers must carry them out for staff who use screens as a significant part of their work. This includes hybrid and home workers.
Our trained occupational health professionals assess the person at their own workstation and adjust the set-up with them. We provide a written report with practical recommendations and advice.
Although it is possible for employees to complete a questionnaire to self-assess their set-up, one-to-one assessment is particularly appropriate for anyone with symptoms, a health condition or disability, or an unusual set-up.
