We have have worked closely with Safewell since Nick and Gail began some 18 years ago. Over the years the team have delivered an excellent service, advising and training us in all aspects of Health & Safety. For longer serving members of our staff, this means repeat training in certain subjects (think Manual Handling for one!) and just recently Matt came to 1st Choice Stairlifts for the first time to do two Manual Handling sessions. Despite very little change to the subject matter, Matt's delivery was absolutely on-point, informative, engaging and with a keen sense of humour. He really connected with the team and the positive feedback reflected this. Around the same time, Clive came back to tackle another challenging subject, Asbestos Awareness. Clive's legendary humour never detracts from a very serious subject, instead encouraging lively discussion amongst our field staff, old and new. The subject is very personal to Clive and this is evident in the care he takes to deliver his classes. Finally, thanks to Butch for keeping us "Fire-Safe" and of course last but by no means least a huge thank you to Donna for all the help and advice over the years.
We recently undertook a one-day Emergency at Work training course delivered by Safewell, and it exceeded our expectations. The trainer was extremely knowledgeable, highly professional, and delivered the session in a clear, engaging, and practical manner. The course was very informative, well structured, and thoughtfully delivered from the initial set-up right through to the close of the day, ensuring an excellent learning experience for all involved. Very informative and relaxed session which provided us with the basic information to do the job. Only slight criticism we had was that there were perhaps a few too many on the course but we would have no problem recommending you to others.
Safewell note: After having an outdoor defibrillator cabinet installed on the Safewell building in 2022, we decided to offer some free training in using this, along with CPR, to members of our local community. This review is from one of those who attended.
Thank you to Safewell for delivering the Mental Health First Aid course, a challenging subject delivered by the trainer sensitively. The session was informative and engaging from the outset and the trainer reflected the needs of the trainees in his delivery, making topics light hearted when appropriate. I would recommend this course to anyone who wants to build their knowledge and understanding of the challenges of mental health and how best to support individuals both in the workplace and life in general.

We have worked with Safewell for many years and are retained clients, so we have developed an excellent working relationship with the team. However, this really came into its own when Covid 19 appeared.
As a Plumbing and Heating business, we were able to carry on working during the lockdown but only for responding to emergencies. We were obviously very concerned about the health and safety of our employees and before we even had chance to get in touch with Safewell, they had emailed us offering their assistance. It is hard to put down on paper how that made us feel - we like everyone else felt totally at sea, which way to turn, what to do? But Safewell were there guiding, supporting and being totally brilliant. Their attention to detail is very impressive and reassuring and we feel able to ask lots of questions without feeling silly.
During the pandemic Safewell helped us to write risk assessments, safety procedures and protocols. They kept in touch regularly, issuing new guidance as soon as it appeared and checking in with us. They held group Q&A sessions over Zoom which were helpful, and knowing other businesses were facing the same challenges and having the opportunity to discuss issues was invaluable. Their help during the preparation for a full return to work was brilliant, they enabled us to be fully prepared and feel in control, and when we had our first case of Covid within the team, because we had planned our response it felt ok.
I think our team felt very reassured by our robust approach and that our office was Covid secure.

Just wanted to say a big thank you to Safewell for providing at short notice two excellent 1-day emergency first aid at work courses for our staff. The training was tailored to our special needs school setting with specific reference to relevant scenarios that might arise. We had a mix of experienced and new staff on the courses and they said that Scott the trainer was engaging, knowledgeable and catered for everyone in the room. They also specifically commented on his ability to give them confidence and put them at ease. Scott included some defib training within the courses which has saved us spending time and money on a separate course. Based on the feedback from my staff I would definitely use again and recommend to others.
