An energy company in Scotland who recruit for the off ashore /onshore oil companies needed an urgent new employee health surveillance medical for employees in their local area. The employees were Swindon based and Safewell was first on a Google search!

Safewell were contacted by the energy company to request if we carried out New Employee Health Surveillance medicals. After a short discussion by telephone we asked for their prospective employee’s job description then, based on this, we suggested they had an eye test, audiometry (hearing test), and drug & alcohol tests which could be carried out along with weight, height and blood pressure checks. The health surveillance medicals were then booked in for appointments at the Safewell office the next day. The employee could start work for the oil/gas company the following week. Safewell now carry out their Ad hoc occupational health medicals for employees local to the Safewell offices that are heading offshore.
