This course covers all aspects of Working Safely, looking at injury, illness and recognising potential workplace hazards. It explains how and why incidents are reported and discusses the responsibilities of an organisation with regards to H&S. It then talks about accident investigation, health surveillance and monitoring to ensure everyone's safety in work place.

Course Description

This IOSH Approved Working Safely e-learning course with VideoTile Learning covers all aspects of Working Safely.

It begins by introducing workplace safety and its importance, highlighting its seriousness with some hard-hitting health and safety statistics.

It then moves on to explore workers’ rights, the role of workers and safety representatives and some key health and safety terminology.

After that, the course looks at injuries and illnesses and explores the importance of recognising and assessing potential hazards and their associated risks.

The next section starts by explaining what it meant by the term ‘reasonably practicable’, before looking at the areas of incident reporting and organisational learning.

The course then moves on to explore common workplace hazards and their controls.

The third part of the course looks at the responsibilities an organisation has with respect to health and safety, exploring good practice, training, and how health and safety can be improved.

It then looks at hazardous attitudes that can play a significant role in workplace accidents, and explores key documented management systems which aim to ensure work is done safely and efficiently.

Following this, the course dives into the topics of performance checking, active monitoring, safety committees, and inspections and investigations, then finishes by looking at the role of accident investigation, health surveillance, health monitoring, and reviews in ensuring the health and safety of everyone at work.

Upon completion of the course, you will receive a certificate from IOSH.
