One of our clients who were already signed up to our Retained Health and Safety Support were undergoing an expansion and move to a new premises. The company engaged Safewell for additional health & safety support over this busy period because they recognised they did not have the inhouse capacity for the revisions to risk assessments, safe systems of work and safe operating procedures. There were also the new risks introduced around people and moving vehicles in the yards which the customer also wanted the retained health and safety service to now encompass.

Safewell devised a Health & Safety Management Plan for the move over a 5 month period. This involved general supervision of the move, additional risk assessments for unplanned activities, creation of a hazard & near miss book & procedure, in-depth accident book, regular safety inspections, toolbox, training to all staff, supervisors & managers along with regular liaison with key personnel. As a result the company were able to focus on pushing their move through on time knowing that their staff are safe and all relative health & safety risks are accounted for and recorded.
