Changing Work Activities from Contracted to In-House

Aug 7, 2014 | Contractor Management, H&S Policy & Manual, Method Statements, Retained Service Reminders, Risk Assessment

Please remember to inform your Safewell Adviser of changes in work activities that might require additional safety advice or training for your teams.

In particular, if you previously contracted out a work activity but now instruct employees to perform the task this will probably need risk assessing, maybe additional training and additions to your Employee Working Safely Guides.

If a task was previously contracted out you would have relied on the sub-contractor to provide the risk assessment and method statements, now this is your liability and you must directly manage the risk. We’re here to help, just remember to tell us please.

Just call or email your Safewell Retained Health and Safety Adviser, or use the contact form on the right or below.

Safewell has been working alongside us for several years now and I have had the pleasure of working with them for the past few years. They are always professional with their approach and always on hand if we require any ad-hoc advice to support our health and safety needs. I cannot recommend them enough and would definitely suggest to anyone looking for advice or services in regards to anything health and safety related to contact Safewell.
