Aug 22, 2017 | Safewell Stuff, News

Meet our newest members at Safewell.

Michael Gatrill – Occupational Health Technician

I started with Safewell as an Occupational health technician in January 2017 and bring with me a wealth of knowledge from the world of Personal training and sports therapy, with over 15 years experience. I have also worked for the Out of hours service as Co-ordinator which has given me invaluable experience working with many different medical cases and the skills to be able to use the correct resources to be able to get the best appropriate care to those patients.  With many other roles that I have performed from care assistant to an RAF reserves serviceman and much more, I bring a wealth of experience and understanding to the role at Safewell.

Lindsey Rawlins – Occupational Health Technician

I started with Safewell as an Occupational health technician in July 2017. My early career was as a Registered General Nurse and I moved into Occupational Health nursing in 1982.  I gained the Occupational Health Nursing Diploma from Manchester Metropolitan University in 1994 whilst working for an international food manufacturer.  After a career break (going back packing around the world), I worked as an HCA at a hospice and am delighted to be back doing Occupational Health for Safewell.  I bring with me lots of experience in many different areas of OH.

I am pleased that you are helping dispel some of the dafter myths that surround OH&S (a passion you and I clearly have in common) and the item clearly indicates that as with so many of our professional colleagues you are not about stopping fun on the pretext of H&S. It is only with the help of people such as yourself that we will eventually get the message across that OH&S is about bringing (as you so aptly put it) purpose and value to peoples lives
