Manual Handling

Manual handling training is crucial for any employee involved in lifting, carrying, pushing, or moving objects as part of their job. Poor manual handling techniques are one of the leading causes of workplace injuries – and are easily preventable with the right training.

This training equips participants with the knowledge and practical skills needed to handle loads safety, helping to reduce the risk of strain, musculoskeletal injuries, and long-term health issues. It also helps employers meet their legal obligations under the Manual Handling Operations Regulations 1992, as enforced by the Health & Safety Executive (HSE).

We offer this course as a half-day or full-day training session, depending on your requirements.

  • The half-day covers all core theory and essential safe handling techniques.
  • The full-day option includes time spent reviewing your site-specific set-up and conducting practical, hands-on training based on your individual working environment.

This course is ideal for warehouse staff, facilities teams, maintenance operatives, and anyone involved in manual handling as part of their role.

Training is delivered face-to-face, and we can provide it either at your location or at our site in Wiltshire.

We also offer an online course in Safe Moving and Handling of People.
