​Twenty years in business, and we’re still finding ways to surprise ourselves.

This week, we’re packing up the boxes and heading to a new home.

A little bit of history

Swindon is where the Safewell story originally started. It’s where our founders Nick and Gail first met back in 1998, and where their work relationship and friendship turned into a business built on clear, practical, easy-to-understand occupational health and safety advice. Safewell began in 2006 in Nick’s home office, and in 2010 the growing company moved to Royal Wootton Bassett to give the team room to thrive.

We won’t pretend we’re not a little sad to leave. Royal Wootton Bassett has been our home for a long time, and it holds a lot of memories, good ones, and some tougher ones too. But we’re also genuinely excited about what comes next.

So, what’s the new place like?

Bright, modern offices at Nexus Business Centre in Swindon, with an on-site café, plenty of parking, and a lake right outside the window. It’s a fresh space for a team with its eye firmly on the future.

Nexus is home to a whole community of other businesses, and we can’t wait to be part of it. Whether it’s a chat over coffee at the café, a conversation in the corridor or a chance to meet new faces and swap ideas, we’re looking forward to getting to know our neighbours. Good advice comes from good conversations, and we’re expecting plenty of them.

What’s staying the same?

Our phone numbers and email addresses are exactly as they were, so nothing changes on that front.
