Safewells occupational health technician after carrying out annual medicals discovered a drop-in lung function results for the company’s employees.
Safewell Solution
After some discussion, Safewell established that there was a concern over the air conditioning unit which was pushing dust around the factory, which then settled on the heating elements. When the heaters were turned on, the dust was then burned off causing fumes/smells, which led to changes in air quality. The company was then advised by Safewell to conduct air quality monitoring to establish if this was the cause of the poor lung function results.
