This Retail Company with Stores based in London and around the country wished to review their company Health and Safety standards across all areas of the business. The aim, primarily, was to ensure they were complying with health and safety and fire safety legislation. In addition, they wanted a retained health and safety provider that could help them integrate a health and safety culture within the business.

Safewell provided their retained Health and Safety Adviser service with regular monthly visits to the Distribution center; annual health and safety risk assessment, fire risk assessment and safety inspection visits to the retail stores. The findings of the risk assessment and inspections have been used to create a very bespoke retail health and safety manual for the stores, which create the frame work from which health and safety progress can now be audited. The work package included: Company Occupational Health & Safety Management System, Staff Health & Safety handbook, various task specific risk assessments for the distribution center, Health & Safety training (Fire marshal training, Emergency First Aid, Manual Handling Training, DSE assessor training and Risk Assessment training). On top of all this they get peace of mind with the back-office support provided by knowing they can call or email any time to speak to one of the two advisers that support them or someone else who can help until they are available.
