The company have undergone recent expansion which involved an increase in site based projects requiring teams of workers. They contacted Safewell knowing they required a more dedicated, retained health and safety service to review their existing risk assessments, RAMS, safe systems of work, health and safety procedures, completion of monthly site inspections and training to senior management to reinforce the importance of health and safety in the company.
Safewell Solution
Safewell proposed a 12 month retained health and safety adviser contract and began site visits immediately for the company so they could establish their working health and safety standards. We also completed an umbrella risk assessment over the whole company to establish a baseline of what their risks are and how they are currently managed. From this report Safewell identified a number of areas for improvements and began working with the company to prioritise an action plan going forward along with delivering risk focused health and safety training to employees and managers. The retained health and safety adviser service suited the company as it gave a known monthly cost; a measurable work package to be delivered and telephone and email support throughout from a dedicated adviser.
