Safewell can provide short term counselling in relation to work related health issues for up to 6 sessions or we can assist by referring an employee onto external help/support.

These can include:

  • Post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) following an accident
  • Mental health support
  • Drug and Alcohol support

What is RIDDOR, and What is a RIDDOR Reportable Accident?

RIDDOR is the acronym for Reporting of Injuries Diseases and Dangerous Occurrences Regulations 1995. A RIDDOR reportable incident included a work related death, a work related specified major injury, a work related over-7-day incapacitation injury, a work related 3 day work incapacitaion injury, a work related disease or work related dangerous occurrence.

How to Report an Accident at Work

All injuries and incidents falling under the RIDDOR definition must be reported to the HSE’s Incident Contact Centre (ICC) either by telephone or online. The ICC will send the Incident Report details to the appropriate enforcing authority i.e. Local Authority or the HSE (Health and Safety Executive).
