Face Fit Testing

For the Wiltshire Area

Coronavirus Protection for Health Care Professionals

When caring for patients with the suspected or confirmed infectious respiratory virus COVID-19, all healthcare workers need to, prior to any patient interaction assess the infectious risk posed to themselves and family. This also requires the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (P.P.E.) to minimise the possible risk of contraction.

This includes the use of an FFP3 respirator especially where a patient is known/suspected to have an infection spread via aerosol transmission, or when caring for patients known/suspected to be infected with COVID-19 (Coronavirus) or any other newly identified infectious respiratory virus.

Any close fitting face mask like an FFP3 respirator requires Face Fit testing by a competent person, to know your face mask is fitted and working correctly for you is paramount.

Safewell’s aim is to help support our Health Care Professionals in this time of crisis by providing a professional Face Fitting Service.

Click or call to book your Face Fit tests with Safewell, either at your place of work or send employees to our offices in Royal Wootton Bassett.

I am pleased that you are helping dispel some of the dafter myths that surround OH&S (a passion you and I clearly have in common) and the item clearly indicates that as with so many of our professional colleagues you are not about stopping fun on the pretext of H&S. It is only with the help of people such as yourself that we will eventually get the message across that OH&S is about bringing (as you so aptly put it) purpose and value to peoples lives
