Whilst the whole world is on lockdown due to the Coronavirus pandemic, we can and we must do our best at maintaining a routine. This is essential for our mental health, one way to achieve this is through exercise. Ideally first thing in the morning to help start your day and wake you up. So with a strong body comes a strong mind and vice versa.
The following workout doesn’t require any equipment.
Start with a 5 minute warm up – Jumping jacks for 30 second then running on the spot for 30 seconds each. Rest when needed.
Then complete:
10 x lunges
10 x Good mornings or straight legged deadlifts
10 x Squat’s
10 x Press ups
10 x Rear fly’s – without equipment just focus on the squeeze and contraction of the muscle. That goes for all exercises. Prioritise control and depth then power.
10 x burpees
10 x Hip Thrusts/Extensions (Bridges)
10 x Jump Squats
Repeat as many times as you can, rest when needed. Finish with a nice walk in the fresh air.
Aim to do this 3 x a week. I will add a new work out weekly.
Please remember social distancing and stay safe. Enjoy!

I am pleased that you are helping dispel some of the dafter myths that surround OH&S (a passion you and I clearly have in common) and the item clearly indicates that as with so many of our professional colleagues you are not about stopping fun on the pretext of H&S. It is only with the help of people such as yourself that we will eventually get the message across that OH&S is about bringing (as you so aptly put it) purpose and value to peoples lives
